LATISSE® is an FDA-approved prescription treatment for eyelash hypotrichosis (short or thinning eyelashes). Applied along the upper lash line each evening, LATISSE® helps the eyelashes gradually grow longer, fuller, and darker for a naturally beautiful look.

How LATISSE® Works
LATISSE® is a 0.03% bimatoprost ophthalmic solution that affects the eyelash growth cycle. With consistent nightly use, it extends the amount of time lashes remain in their active growth phase, allowing them to grow in longer. It also stimulates follicles in their resting phase to start growing new hairs, which increases the number of eyelashes growing simultaneously for added thickness and fullness. Lastly, it promotes melanin production, causing the lashes to darken in color.
These improvements occur gradually rather than overnight, with peak results achieved around week 16. Consistent application is necessary, and continued treatment is required to maintain the effects. If LATISSE® is discontinued, the eyelashes will gradually return to their previous appearance over several weeks to months.
How to Use LATISSE®
LATISSE® is applied at home once each evening, and the application process takes less than a minute. Begin by removing any makeup and contact lenses, and make sure your face and eyelids are clean. Place one drop of LATISSE® on the supplied sterile applicator, then carefully apply it along the skin of the upper eyelid at the base of the eyelashes. Use a new applicator for the opposite eye and blot away any excess solution.
LATISSE® should only be applied to the upper eyelid margin. It should not be placed directly in the eye or applied to the lower lash line. We’ll provide clear instructions and help you feel comfortable using the treatment correctly on your own at home.
Results and Maintenance
LATISSE® requires no downtime, and you can continue your normal routine while using it.
With consistent treatment:
- Eyelash enhancement develops gradually
- Initial improvement may become noticeable within 4 to 8 weeks
- Fuller results generally develop after several months of regular use
- Continued nightly application helps maintain lash length, fullness, and darkness long term
Daily application is necessary to achieve results, and applying LATISSE® more than once per day will not make the lashes grow faster. Once you achieve your desired result, we’ll help you understand how to maintain it safely over time.
